About me

Why I started this.

I’m Chiara Zimmermann, a high school senior in Brooklyn. I started SATurday Scholars because the SAT opens doors to universities and scholarships — and good preparation shouldn’t depend on where you live or what you can pay.

Every Saturday I log on and teach. The best part of my week is watching a student explain an answer back to the class better than I just did. That’s when I know the program is working: the teacher steps back, and the students step forward.

When I’m not teaching, I’m training new tutors, building lesson plans, and thinking about how the next class can be better than the last.

What I do for fun.
